Echoes and Reflections Workshop with Yad Vashem Expert Stephanie McMahon-Kaye

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

1 Trimont Lane Pittsburgh, PA 15211

The cost of the workshop is fully subsidized by Classrooms Without Borders.

Classrooms Without Borders is proud to announce that it will be hosting an Echoes and Reflections training program for middle and high school teachers on October 28, 2014.

Echoes and Reflections prepares teachers to teach the complex history of the Holocaust in a way that stimulates engagement, critical thinking and personal understanding among students. Using Echoes and Reflections, teachers help students make connections with the past, gain relevant insight into human dilemmas and difficult social challenges, and determine their roles and responsibilities in the world around them.

Students face a complex world and struggle with issues such as exclusion, prejudice, and Intolerance just to name a few. Echoes and Reflections offers a flexible, well-developed, interactive program that enables teachers to help their students see their worlds through the lens of history.

Teachers attending the program receive professional development training, a Teacher's Resource Guide, access to an extensive array of visual history testimonies, and unlimited use of supplementary multimedia resources and supportive tools from the expansive Echoes and Reflections website.
